Bring your old G4 iBook back to life

I have an old G4 800 Mhz iBook with a dead drive that wasn't worth repairing -- the cost of a new drive and the labour involved would still leave me with a machine too slow to be useful.But suddenly I needed an extra laptop and though rather than buying, I'd have a look at what these SSDs could do.Using the clear guides over at ifixit.com I replaced the dead HDD with this baby and installed MacOSX Tiger and now the iBook is flying. It boots in around 30 secs and opens MSWord instantly (no bouncing icon!). The OS and Office uses about 6Gb so there's useful storage space still.It's a very useable machine now for general computer work - writing, web surfing and so on - and if you need extra storage just plug in a USB drive.
