5Great hydration pack
By Runnerdeen
I brought this pack as I am training for a 100 mile race and needed something to carry all the mandatory gear as well as provide enough hydration between checkpoints. I went for the Nathan over say a Camelbak because of the innovative fit concept; they have not gone down the route of simply putting a bladder in a back pack. This pack is called a 'vest' as it fits more like a vest with pockets on the back for the baldder and pockets on the front for other small essentials.I've run over 400 miles with this pack now and it is great in use. You have to get used to the fact that you don't tighten lots of straps go make sure that there is no movement of the pack at all, there are simply a few adjuster straps on the shoulder straps and one moveable buckle on the front, couldn't be easier. The pack does move a bit in use but it feels like this is in harmony with your normal running and not against it. The material of the straps and back is super soft and wicking, I would have no problem wearing this against bear skin. The bladder inside is great, easy to fill with a wide neck and slide seal which I have had no problems with yet. The bite valve is easy to use and leak free, no problem getting the desired amount of drink out. The 2 litres normally sees me 20+ miles with no problem.Storage wise the pack has the main bladder compartment and then another pocket on the back which is big enough for a few essentials, say foil blanket, first aid kit, wet wipes and wind proof top. Also has an elastic draw string on the back, but I'd be dubious about relying on this, a mesh pouch would have been better. On the front right strap there is a draw string pouch which I normally keep gels in for ease of access and on the front left is a zip pocket which holds my iPhone (I always put this in a ziplock bag also) and a couple more gels. This bag is not cheap, but then nor are the quality alternatives, and it just feels so well made and thought out you can tell some serious R&D has gone into this bag. I was so impressed I purchased the Intensity womens specific bag for my wife and she loves this also.Hope this review helps a little.

5Best Hydration Pack Bar None
By endofcity
As a pretty serious marathon runner, I have wasted a lot of money on various hydration systems but I was very glad when I finally came across this one, it's absolutely superb and I've now been using it for the last 2 years with no problems. I typically only take hydration packs on 18 mile + runs, so I demand something super comfortable and reliable. The best things about it are:Very comfortable when onDoes not move around at all when runningHas a number of useful pocketsAbsolutely superb mouth piece designI really can't find anything wrong with this product and there's very little I would do to change it.A good tip for cleaning this (or indeed any hydration pack) is to sterilise before use using baby feeding steriliser tablets because they are hard to clean properly and dry perfectly. If you are looking for a hydration product for running, this is the best. I have tried them all and I wouldn't waste any of your hard earned cash on anything else.

4A brilliant product, Akin to a camelbak
By Mr. M. Sankey
After years of carrying bottles while running, or relying on the water bottle cage on my bike, I decided to go for a hydration system that really is more practical, and after checking out specifications of lots of products , settled on this Nathan product- The webbing is fantastic and gives a really secure fit, is easy to clean and clasps really well to the body- The bladder itself is of a good size and comes apart really easily for cleaning- The only detriment is that it has a lot of tags and toggles when fully on, but they fold and tuck away, and you don't really notice them- The bite valve is excellent and provides a good supply of water, and in the back of the backpack there is enough space for a wallet, a compression top and a snack barGreat product, highly recommend it.
