Product Description

For more space for your waste, Brabantia's extra-large Touch Bin lets you store up to 50 litres of waste. The extra-large opening (265mm) is big enough to empty a dustpan without spilling. The unique dampened lid hinge means goodbye to irritating clattering when opening or closing the bin and the soft touch closure offers easy and light operation.

Matching Brabantia bin liners are available with tie-tape (size H) for a perfect fit and no ugly over wrap. The lid unit is removable, making it easy to change bin liners and to clean the bin.

The bin is made of durable, corrosion-resistant materials and the sturdy carry handle makes the bin easy to move, even when full.

This bin comes with a 10 year guarantee.

4Bargain bin
By S. Tavill
I paid £45.54 which was a bargain, I can only assume it was because it is not a popular colour however it is quite neutral and though not as trendy as stainless steel the plus is there are no finger prints left behind. It loses a star because it comes without an inner liner. The replacement bags are quite expensive but if your are not bothered about a black bin liner showing a little, the strong Aldi bags with the ties are an excellent buy.

Excellent product, robust, very good capacity and neat design. Liners fit without being visible. Colour lighter than in web page.

5It's Only A Bin But It IS The Best. Buy One!
By Janey1966
How I love this bin! I have even designed the colour scheme of my new kitchen around it, I love it that much! Why do I love it so? I shall tell you!If you buy the 50 litre Brabantia liners for this bin you will not regret it because you cannot see the liner once the top is back on it. Try it! You will see exactly what I am on about! I once worked in Waste Management and was told that rubbish should be double wrapped so for all those who think they should just place a bog-standard Council binliner in there, forget it. For starters, the top of it will spill over the top and for an expensive bin, that's just not good enough, is it girls and boys? And if your Council is anything like ours the colours of binliners range from lilac, black and the current monstrosity, a strange dark red number. Sorry to sound snobbish, but they belong outside (wrapped around a Brabantia binliner with rubbish no-one can see)!Apart from looking fabulous in my (now new) kitchen the Almond Bin actually performs rather well...for a bin. One of its best features is that it very rarely needs cleaning. Shock, horror. Just a wipe round does the trick (including the plastic/stainless steel top) and it looks like new. Because I use the proper Brabantia binliners I never have to clean the interior as it remains odour free. The top of the bin is designed to come off (obviously, to get the binliner in) and the manufacturers recommend that a wipe down is sufficient although I have immersed it in the sink a couple of times for a thorough cleaning. However, if you do happen to break the mechanism I know for a fact (Mum has the shiny chrome one) that Brabantia REPLACE THE WHOLE TOP INSTEAD OF SENDING A PART...FOR FREE! Now, that is what I call legendary customer service although their products are guaranteed for 10 years anyway. The binliners have a very good plastic pull cord that you just tie at the top when the bin is full. I have never had difficulty removing the liner from the bin, even when filled to the brim, very easy to lift out.The full price of this bin is pushing £120 on the Brabantia website so this price (whilst still espensive to a lot of people, including me) remains the best reason of all to buy one from Amazon. I bought mine from Argos but it was around the same price. Very competitive. If you don't want your kitchen to look like a cafe with cheap and nasty bins with plastic binliners overflowing the lid then you really MUST buy a Brabantia. It does not have to be an Almond one, there are loads to choose from. But if you want a starting point for modernising your kitchen you cannot go wrong with this nuetral almond colour, it's fab!
