The frame and mechanism of the seca sauna 761 has been optimized for use where there is high humidity - such as, for example, the sauna or swimming baths. The casing has been especially sealed and the mechanics provided with an elaborate corrosion protection. The nonslip platform is made of stainless steel.

Accurate, robust, but let down by the display

Fantastic mechanical scales. Excellent build quality and the non-slip footplate easily accommodates (UK) size 12 feet. The mechanism stabalises quickly & readings are consistent across a range of floor surfaces; carpet, ceramic tiles and exposed boards have been tried so far.Why only 4 stars? The display. I have decent eyesight and am closer to the ground than most, at a smidgen over five feet tall, yet I find the display tricky to read. A larger display and/or increased separation between the dial markings would certainly have raised my rating to five stars. I should also mention that the analogue display increases in 1kg increments and has no imperial markings; I don't find this a problem, but those who want to monitor their weight more closely may be disappointed.Minor grumbles aside, I'm sure these scales will serve me well for decades to come.

Scales

This item was received quickly; the price was fine and they were in good order.In my opinion they are very accurate and sturdy but suffer from the disadvantage that I find it difficult to read the weight.I realise that this is a normal design and the fault must be with eye sight however I do prefer scales that retain the reading or that have a stand for the dial to bring it nearer.I think that having a red line for the 5Kg increments would assist.

Just a good quality set of scales. There is no stepping gently on or shifting your weight to sugar coat the bad news and they are no quibbles 100% accurate. You weigh what these scales say you weigh there is no kidding yourself they weigh heavy or light they are bang on. I like them and they feel like they'll last a lifetime and also come with a 2 year warranty.
