Fantastic coat

I was recommended this brand by one of my friends who's a mountaineering guide. After researching, I decided on this coat. I got to admit that when it first arrived, I was disappointed about the colour as it's not the deep plum colour that you see on the screen - it's much paler and a little more pink. It also seemed very light. The next week, I went on a weeks walking holiday on Dartmoor where I was able to test the coat in very high winds on top of high tors and driving rain. I was soooooo glad I had bought this coat - completely wind and rain resistant. I felt warm and dry in quite extreme weather. Usually, I have to be a bit careful about being in wind for too long as I start to feel ill and throaty. Now, with this coat, I can really enjoy the elements. And when the weather turned out sunny, this coat was really light and easy to carry in my rucksack. Highly recommended.

I'm on my second Cascada (due to weight loss!) and if I had to throw out every coat and jacket in the wardrobe bar one, then the Cascada would be the one I would keep. I walk the dog in it, I go hill walking in it,shopping, gardening - it's even been worn over evening dress in foul weather.Why? the short answer is that, properly maintained, it is absolutely trustworthy in the waterproof department, breathable and so tolerant of changeable weather, quiet, comfortingly snuggly, and when teamed with a fleece or jumper in the very coldest weather, lovely and warm. And it looks good. If my dog finds it, she will snuggle down in it. That's what you call a recommendation.i try to wash and reproof (Tech Wash and TX-Direct both by Nikwax) before the coat needs it, to keep it looking good as well as maintaining all the functions. I also team it up with the cascada trousers and can then face anything the British winter can throw at me.For years I lusted after a purple Paramo. Now I have one, the world is perfect.
