This thing is cool... best gadget I have bought this year.
By N. R. Gower
I have had this box for about 5 weeks (got one as soon as it came into the country - not from Amazon sorry! but wasnt in stock). It took me about 15 mintes to install the Philips Media Manager software, go and get the upgrade off the philips site its been much improved. Setting up the box took 10 minutes... This product is pretty much a consumer product and does not require a PHD to get it working.I then pointed the media server at my Divx files on my laptop, and it was up and running. It streams Divx files with no problem at all, and is good witn mp3 files, picture quaility (dependant on Divx file) is excellent.I am now setting up a NAS box to store and stream my media from, I will end up using TwonkyMedia rather than Media Manager as Twonky can run on the NAS I have bought...

Great Gadget if you dont have Vista.
By P. Nyland
As the title says Great Gadget if you dont have Vista, was the best gadget i brought for my PC when i was Running XP Pro, but then silly me went to upgrade to Vista and guess what thats right it dont run properly.Keep on getting Buffer runs and then resets the film. But as i said if you have windows Xp then this is one of the best gadgets to come out for the PC.Come on Philips get new Drivers and software out so it runs properly on Vista. Otherwise had this run on Vista i would of said 5 stars.

An excellent piece of kit
By Paul Williams
Connected to TV, plugged in, switched on, followed the Wireless Network Wizard which found my router right away, entered the WEP key and away it went. Not using the bundled software, as we already had the excellent Twonkyvision uPNP software chugging away on a Linux server. The SLM5500 found it immediately and we were in business!Excellent service from Marketplace seller Avides Media - the item was winging its way from Germany within hours of being ordered, and was with us a couple of days later. Oh, and despite it having come from Germany, it arrived with a UK three-pin adapter. Can't fault it.
